WHAT IS THE AMA ALLIANCE?
Vision:
To be the volunteer voice for healthy families.
Mission:
To support medical families through advocacy and education.

Reach:
The AMA Alliance is the largest organization representing the family of medicine in the United States. The Alliance network of physicians and physicians’ spouses represents all stages of the medical lifestyle, from the training years to retirement. In addition, the Alliance’s Stop America’s Violence Everywhere (SAVE) program targets the 15 million children in first through fourth grade in every public and private school.
Since the 1995 inception of SAVE, Alliance members have developed more than 700 antiviolence programs, including mentoring programs, teen hotline cards and mental health seminars, and distributed more than 2 million pieces of anti-violence materials. The SAVE program has been recognized by Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

This past week I ventured into uncharted territory….for me…at least!
I wanted to let alliance members know who were not able to attend our membership meeting what our alliance is doing in our community.
An email or word document could have been used, but I really wanted to give it an updated and fresh look that members would actually read!
After receiving the AMAA E-Connection Newsletter, I decided to contact Gail Kacich, chair of the Integrated Marketing Communications committee for some advice!
Promptly, Gail responded with advice. She suggested using a company called “Constant Contact”. I logged on and within 1 day was able to construct an eye pleasing newletter for our membership. It was very easy and came with a 90 day free trial!
Give it a try…you too can do this!
Thanks Gail for your advice!
Sincerely,
Mary Rice
