It is hard to believe that summer is coming to an end and September is already upon us. As long as I have been an Alliance member, September has always brought with it the anticipation of seeing my Alliance friends, old and new at the upcoming Alliance meeting. In these past few years it has also taken on a different meaning for me of seeing my Alliance friends from across the United States atthe Leadership Development Conference (LDC) in Chicago. The excitement at the conference is always palpable, seeing old friends and making new friends, learning new skills and ideas, gathering and sharing information and always learning something new. I am with grassroots members nationwide that are making a difference in their community and in their own medical family. I always leave the meeting feeling energized, excited, filled with ideas and proud to be an Alliance member. So it is with great anticipation that I invite you to join me in Chicago for LDC.
