Leadership Development Conference

September 3, 2009

It is hard to believe that summer is coming to an end and September is already upon us.  As long as I have been an Alliance member, September has always brought with it the anticipation of seeing my Alliance friends, old and new at the upcoming Alliance meeting.  In these past few years it has also taken on a different meaning for me of seeing my Alliance friends from across the United States atthe  Leadership Development Conference (LDC) in Chicago.  The excitement at the conference is always palpable, seeing old friends and making new friends, learning new skills and ideas, gathering and sharing information and always learning something new.  I am with grassroots members nationwide that are making a difference in their community and in their own medical family.  I always leave the meeting feeling energized, excited, filled with ideas and proud to be an Alliance member.  So it is with great anticipation that I invite you to join me in Chicago for LDC.  Bring an Alliance friend or your family…the AMA Alliance and Chicago has so much to offer!  The Leadership Development Conference (LDC), October 4-6, 2009 at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Hotel is a two-and-a-half day networking opportunity for all Alliance members to ensure our voice in support of medical families.  See what we’re offering and register for the meeting at http://www.amaalliance.org/site/epage/64805_625.htm.

We invite your feedback on health care reform

July 29, 2009

Kyler

We invite your feedback on health care reform

Welcome to the Alliance President’s Blog—a place where I will share my vision for the AMA Alliance in 2009-2010 and where I hope you will share your comments, questions, concerns and insights on the life in a medical family and issues that affect the family of medicine.

The Alliance is your portal to a better world for medical families. This year demands that our voices be heard so that we may impact the change going on around us.  As Alliance President, I can assure you that we recognize the need for health care reform; we know there is heated debate on how this should be accomplished. We invite your feedback.

The Alliance will gather your feedback and share your views with the AMA as they work to meet the challenge of health care reform.
